We are the oldest ski shop on Long Island and one of the oldest in the country. Since 1959, we have had one single-minded business philosophy: service our customers to the highest standard in the industry. Here are some of the things you'll find at Sno-Haus that we think you'll appreciate:

We can't help it-we're machine freaks. That means we were the first on Long Island to feature Stone Grinding, which is now an industry-wide standard. We were the first on Long Island to provide Computer-assisted Binding Calibration on every pair of skis we sell or lease. We have experienced technicians operating these machines. Does your shop offer a computer print-out of your binding performance? Even on Seasonal Lease equipment? We'll never stop trying to offer you uncompromised service on your ski and snowboard equipment.
Many years ago, we realized that our customers would enjoy their skiing much more if they kept their edges sharp and the bottoms waxed. So we were the first to offer FREE SHARPENING AND WAXING ON SKIS PURCHASED AT SNO-HAUS FOR LIFE. You'll also get DISCOUNTED STONE GRINDING when you purchase skis from Sno-Haus. All this at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
We know that things sometimes don't always fit right off the hanger or out of the box. (The owners of Sno-Haus both have very short legs!) So we offer FREE SKI PANT OR SNOWBOARD PANT SHORTENING AND WE CUSTOM FIT BOOTS purchased at Sno-Haus free of charge. Other clothing alterations and shortening of sale pants available at a nominal charge.
For the ultimate boot fit, we specialize is custom insoles. Come in and find out why none of our boot fitters would consider skiing without a custom footbed.
Unlike other stores, we offer a FULL REFUND FOR PURCHASES OF THIS SEASON'S MERCHANDISE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE. Store Credit or Exchange Only for last season's merchandise within ten days of purchase. Merchandise must be new and in original packaging with receipt and tags. All return periods end the date we close for the season, so your return period might be shorter if your purchase is made the period before we close for the season.
We stand behind what we sell. If there is a problem with your purchase. WE'LL NEVER TELL YOU TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER YOURSELF. Although we'd never wish a problem on you, we see this as a chance for you to discover just what CUSTOMER SERVICE means to the people at Sno-Haus.

We strive for the best selection, in both equipment and clothing, with everything coordinated from head to toe.
Of course, we know that we can't always have what you're looking for, so SPECIAL ORDERS ARE OUR SPECIALTY. We'll track down that hard to find item, size or color. In clothing or equipment, we'll leave no stone unturned to find exactly what you crave.
We are passionate about sliding down mountains (on skis, snowboards, sleds, or whatever) and we think this can ultimately make a difference to you in a lot of ways. Established in 1959, Sno-Haus has the most experienced staff on Long Island. We'll never stop trying to define the term: "FRIENDLY EXPERT SERVICE."
We know that many times it is impossible to predict a perfect boot fit from the comfort of our shop. You gotta ski 'em to feel 'em. So we provide custom fitting at no charge for one year from the date of purchase. After you have given us the opportunity to make the boots fit properly, if we determine that you need a different boot, we'll exchange them. If that doesn't work, we'll refund your money. Of course, if you request a particular boot or size against our recommendation, we'll accommodate you, but we can't offer you this guarantee. Same for Performance/Race-fit boots, since comfort is NOT the point here and you better know by now what works for you or you shouldn't....never mind.
Every year, our Testing Team goes North to try out all the latest gear. (We claim it's a "business trip," but nobody believes that.) This way, we can be sure to recommend the right thing to you. However, we know that some of you "gotta try it first," so when the snow flies, you can count on us to offer SKI DEMOS before you put down your hard-earned bucks. Plus, we'll credit a weekend's demo ski charges toward the purchase of your skis within a month of the demo. Cool.
