Frequently asked questions

When is equipment due to be returned?

Seasonally rented gear must be returned by March 15 of the current season or between reopening in September and October 15 of the following season to avoid late fees. After this date the gear is presumed purchased by the customer and will forfeit the deposit. Seasons run September to March. Daily rentals returned late will incur a $30/day fee.

Does Sno-Haus require a security deposit?

All seasonal rentals require a fully refundable security deposit. Seasonal rental gear must be returned by October 15 the latest of the following season. Returns after this date will forfeit the deposit.

How early should I come before my ski trip?

Daily Rentals: may be sized and reserved in store up to one week prior. Seasonal Rentals: we recommend visiting at least two weeks before your trip. Rush rentals for an additional fee. Best equipment available between 9/15 and 11/15.

What should I bring for my ski or snowboard rental fitting?

Please bring a valid photo ID and a form of payment. Someone 18 or older must be present to sign for the equipment. We also recommend bringing or wearing your own ski or snowboard socks.

Does Sno-Haus rent ski or snowboard helmets?

We do not rent helmets. For your safety, we recommend purchasing a properly fitted helmet.

How does Sno-Haus ensure the safety of its rental ski bindings?

All ski bindings at Sno-Haus are adjusted exclusively by our certified technicians—unlike many smaller rental shops. Annual recertification with Marker, Salomon, Atomic, Armada, Look, Tyrolia, Rossignol, and more.

Our stores close at the end of each season (mid to late March). We resume accepting returns when we reopen for the winter season in September, with a penalty-free window through October 15.
