Refund policy

Return Policy (Sno-Haus)

We want you to love what you buy. Below is our return and exchange policy for both online and in-store purchases.

Return windows (winter merchandise)

Full-price winter merchandise

  • Refund to original payment: within 7 days
  • Exchange or store credit: within 30 days

Discounted and Sale items

  • Any discounted or sale items are Final Sale 
  • Items marked Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange

How we measure the window

  • In-store purchases: the return window starts on the purchase date shown on your receipt.
  • Online orders shipped to you: the return window starts on the delivery date shown by the carrier.

Holiday extended returns (in-store purchases only)
Purchases made between Nov 1 and Dec 24 may be returned for store credit through Jan 4. (Refund-to-original-payment still follows the 7-day rule unless otherwise stated.)


Return condition requirements

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be returned:

  • In the same condition you received them: unworn, unused, and in new/resalable condition
  • With original tags attached
  • With all original parts/accessories and packaging components (when applicable)
  • With receipt or proof of purchase

We reserve the right to refuse returns for items that show wear, odor, stains, washing, missing components, or damage.


How to start a return or exchange (In-store purchases)

For items purchased in-store, you can start a return or exchange by simply bringing the item back to any Sno-Haus location (Huntington, Greenvale, or Hempstead, NY). Please bring your receipt or proof of purchase.


How to start a return or exchange (Online purchases)

For items purchased online, you must email hello@snohaus.com first to start your return or exchange. Please include your order number and the item(s) you’d like to return or exchange.

Once your request is approved, you can complete your return by choosing one of the following options:

  1. Bring the item to any Sno-Haus location (Huntington, Greenvale, or Hempstead, NY)
  2. Mail it back using the carrier of your choice
  3. Use a Sno-Haus prepaid return label ($10 flat rate)

Items mailed back without first emailing us may not be accepted.


Refunds (Online & In-store)

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • If you use a Sno-Haus prepaid return label, the $10 label fee will be deducted from your refund or store credit (as applicable)

Please note: banks and credit card companies may take additional time to post refunds.


Category-specific exceptions

Ski boots and snowboard boots (online purchases)

Ski boots and snowboard boots purchased online are subject to a $50 restocking fee per pair.

We believe the best on-snow experience starts with the right fit. In-store boot fitting is free of charge at Sno-Haus with any boot purchase.

Boots must be returned in new/unworn condition, with all original packaging, inserts, and accessories. Returns may be refused if there are any signs of wear.


Patio furniture and umbrellas

  • In-stock patio furniture: may be canceled/returned prior to pickup or delivery
  • Once delivered (or picked up) and removed from original packaging, patio furniture and umbrellas are not returnable
  • Special orders / non-stock items: Final Sale upon payment

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately (see below).


Rentals

All rental reservations are final sale and non-refundable once paid. Rental inventory is limited, and once you book, we reserve that equipment specifically for you and begin preparing it (set aside, inspected/tuned, and adjusted as needed). Because your gear is reserved for your dates and is not rentable to another customer, we can’t offer refunds once paid.


Non-returnable items

Certain items are not eligible for return or exchange, including:

  • Final Sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Special orders and custom products
  • Personalized items (including molded boots and mounted skis)

Damages, defects, or wrong item

Please inspect your order upon delivery/pickup and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We’ll work with you to evaluate the issue and make it right.
