Choosing a ski length
Most adults ski a length between their chin and the top of their head.
- Shorter: quicker, easier turns. Good for learning and tight trails.
- Longer: more stable at speed and in crud.
- Between two lengths? Your height, weight and how fast you ski decide it.

Overview
The Volkl Deacon 80 Skis with Lowride XL 13 FR GW Bindings is system ski that is very well rounded and loves to link turns on groomers. Volkl uses their 3D. Ridge construction technique, which provides stability and a snappy feel at a lighter weight than most. They then add in their Glass Frame technology, which is a little lighter and less demanding than skis with Titanal Frame, while still delivering a strong feel on edge. The 3D. Radius sidecut allows you to make a variety of different turn shapes, and the extended radii in the tips and tails also gives the ski a more forgiving, less catchy feel, which comes in handy when you're not on a perfect groomer. While not as wide as some and now as powerful or precise as others, the Deacon 80 still proves to be a valuable ski in the all-mountain carver category. It's not too demanding, which a lot of skiers will appreciate and appeal to, but it also has high-performance capabilities that will still appeal to a lot of expert skiers and former racers as well. Snappy, grippy, lightweight, and a whole lot of fun. The Volkl Deacon 80 Skis with Lowride XL 13 FR GW Bindings are worth a real hard look for front side skiers looking for the pinnacle of performance.
