Where Can I Mount Bindings on Skis Bought Somewhere Else?

Where Can I Mount Bindings on Skis Bought Somewhere Else?

Sno-Haus can mount or remount ski bindings on skis purchased elsewhere. The current published price for a ski binding mount or remount is $125. Binding mounts are free on skis purchased at Sno-Haus.

Workshop service is available at Huntington, Greenvale and Hempstead, so skiers can drop equipment off in either Suffolk or Nassau County.

Are there discounts if part of the setup came from Sno-Haus?

Yes. For a setup that does not qualify for the free ski-purchase mount, Sno-Haus publishes a $25 discount for bindings purchased in-store and another $25 discount for boots purchased in-store. The discounts can stack up to $50.

A binding adjustment and release safety test without a full mount is separately listed at $40.

Will Sno-Haus mount any old binding?

No shop should assume every old binding remains serviceable. Sno-Haus states that it services bindings that remain on the manufacturer’s indemnified list. If a binding has aged off that list, the workshop will tell the customer at drop-off that it cannot be serviced.

The technician also needs to evaluate the actual ski, binding and boot setup before completing the mount. A price on the service menu is not a guarantee that an incompatible or non-serviceable combination can be mounted.

What should I bring for a ski binding mount?

Bring the skis, the bindings if they are not already installed, and the ski boot that will be used with the setup. The mount is calibrated to the boot and binding settings, so leaving the boot at home can prevent the technician from completing the setup correctly.

If any component is unusual, older or has uncertain compatibility, bring the complete setup rather than only one piece so the workshop can inspect it together.

Do binding mounts require an appointment?

No. Workshop drop-offs are walk-in and first come, first served. Turnaround depends on the current queue. If you have a firm departure date, tell the associate when you drop the equipment off rather than assuming same-day work.

See current prices on the Sno-Haus workshop service page.
